The Angry Couple: Regulation of Affect - Using a Mentalizing Approach (SC10)

Therapists are often daunted by the levels of anger and abuse that couples can express in sessions, making thoughtful exploratory work almost impossible. This workshop will explore ways of working with high conflict between couples and how lessons from mentalization-based therapy (MBT) may be useful for those working with couples and parents in a wide variety of settings.  Participants will be expected to bring case work.
