This course is suitable for those who in their work with parents, encounter adult relationship issues and difficulties which impact on the capacity to co-parent.
Parenting workers often suspect that the parents' relationship can fuel difficulties with parenting and might be at the heart of a child's difficulties; at the same time these same professionals often feel they lack the confidence and skill to address issues in the couple relationship.
The course aims
- Develop your skills in recognising negative cycles of interaction in parents
- Provide an introduction to the understanding of couple relationships
- Explore the concerns workers may have in managing boundary issues
- Develop skills in working with both parents
