Parenting Together is a service for parents, whether living together, separated or divorced, who are concerned about their children and would like an opportunity to think about family issues.
Perhaps you are having difficulty parenting the children co operatively or perhaps you have a child who you both are unsure how to deal with?
We aim to offer a safe space to share some of these problems and we aim to help parents work through some of the difficulties and disagreements that prevent them from parenting together in a shared way.
Who comes to Parenting Together?
We work with a wide range of parents from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances. Our practice is inclusive, non discriminatory and culturally sensitive but we do need both parents to agree to attend.
What sort of help will I be offered?
We offer 6 sessions initially with the possibility for more should parents feel this would be helpful. At the end of this, there will be a chance to discuss whether any further help might be needed. You will be seen by therapists who have specialised and trained in this area of work.
How do I apply to begin sessions?
You can contact our parenting together service on:
0207 380 1950 or by emailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
You will be offered an initial appointment to explore whether the service is the right place for you.
How often do parents attend?
The first 3 or 4 sessions will be weekly or fortnightly, with subsequent sessions taking place at longer intervals. The sessions last for an hour.
How much does it cost?
The charge for this service is on a sliding scale according to income. There is no minimum fee and we aim to see everyone whatever their financial circumstances. A fee will be agreed at the first session.
How do I pay?
You can pay by cheque or cash. We request that you settle the fee at the end of each session. Once agreed, we do charge for missed sessions, but with adequate warning, we will try to offer you other times if you know you will be unable to attend one of the 6 sessions arranged.
Where do the sessions take place?
The sessions take place at our centre in Central London.
