Free Counselling support for Parents in Greenwich

The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships has been awarded money from Department of Education's Parenting Fund to offer free counselling support for parents with young children who live in the London Borough of Greenwich.

The service supports new parents, with a child under 2 years old, who maybe struggling with the transition to becoming a parent, perhaps because of postnatal depression or other reasons. 

TCCR at the Party Conferences

This Autumn The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships will join an alliance of fifteen leading family charities called 'The Family Room' to attend the Labour, Conservative and Liberal Democrats Party Conferences using their knowledge to inform policy makers of the real issues families face today.

Director of Projects and Strategic Development awarded an OBE for her services to children and families

We are delighted to announce that Honor Rhodes, Director of Projects and Strategic Development at The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, has been awarded an OBE for her services to children and families.

Honor has a long standing interest in the couple relationship, influenced by her early training, and has developed a range of services to meet the needs of couples in trouble and distress.

Foundation courses in Parenting, Attachment and the couple relationship

This Foundation Course is designed for people interested in relationships and attachment and who come into contact with parents and couples through their work.  Both National Occupational Standards and the qualifications in 'Work with Parents' require that new and experienced workers can demonstrate knowledge of relationships between parents and how these affect their children, as well as show skills in working with them.

Free couple counselling for parents who live in Hackney

The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships has been awarded money from The Parenting Fund to offer free couple counselling for parents who live in Hackney.

It is open to parents who are in conflict living together or apart and it also offers counselling to single parents where relationship issues with the other parent are unresolved and intruding on mental health and well being.

Training days for frontline workers in Hackney

The Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, supported by the Parenting Fund are offering free training days during 2010 to support frontline staff working with families, parents and children in Hackney. Each day involves a mix of teaching and discussion of current issues in your own work with families, parents and children.
